This week Atlanta Public School parents get a chance to make some extra memories with their kids and take a break from the hustle of the school year. I’ve decided to share a few tips to help. Don’t forget to take a day off for rest. I open up and close my break with a rest day.
4. KITCHEN TIME. This is absolutely one of my favorites because it’s something we have to do, it’s teaching them a life lesson, inexpensive and spending quality time. Cooking with the kids can be just as simple as going to the dollar store purchasing a cake mix box, cup cake liners and icing. Or it can be as elaborate as finding a new recipe, making a trip to the farmers market and enjoy!
3. THEMED 🍿MOVIE NIGHT. Make it a extra special movie night. Again the all time favorite dollar tree 😀 some balloons, popcorn bags , make a sign, get some sweet treats and watch a movie. Lately we’ve been watching some classics from my childhood. They enjoyed “All Dogs Go To Heaven” last week.
1.Atlanta Fulton Public Library always has a calendar full of fun free events to enjoy. The library has also partnered with some major attractions to give away free tickets to card holders. The hard part is having the video available to rent in exchange for the free tickets. Click the link to check out this weeks events. http://afpls.org/events
